The description is actually interesting: pretty monster girls, and wrestling. Then that's all to it. Lets just say the plot is paper thin, and the promised action looks nothing than just a bunch of unintelligible lines. It's very difficult at times to understand what is exactly happening in the scene. You'll have to backtrack several times to know what's goin on.Regarding the art direction, I sometimes feel like the character designs are rather lazy. The titular Cerberus girl is basically a nekomimi with 2 floating dog heads. Then, there's the first villian which is just a giant snake with a woman torso sitting atop the snake's skull. At times, I believe, the characters doesn't even look appealing. Not even scary, just off.If we try not to pay attention to the rather amorphous characters, and the unlikable smut (this ain't even subtle about it), the plot leaves a lot to be desired. To begin with, it moves the interesting parts super slow, with almost none of the details provided for world building. None of the characters have been introduces besides an incredibly short description, almost as if they had no motivations at all.I'm sad this good idea didn't get enough care put into the important details. And the ink, gosh, that's so much ink!

It's rare to find a monster-girl series that isn't a harem series, but Monster Wrestling is an awesome shonen-action wrestling series. No boys being useless self-insert characters here; just awesome monster girls wrestling. The art is really clean and unique with designs that are as stylistic as they are sexy. The story is a lot of fun and exciting with great characters, especially the two leading ladies. There's even some yuri flavor to the series. Monster Wrestling was a great surprise!

I think this volume marks the beginning of a great sports, Monster Girl series. I can also say that this is the most interesting sports series considering that there are 4 series related to the genres of monster girls/ sports series.

This thing is just bad. A main character more lame thin dink the clown is just one of the problems this thing has. There's also terrible fight scenes, a story line worst thin the anonymous raw gm and fan service as hot as bastion booger. Save money for some thing better!

Pretty good series with a cute Cerberus girl who wants to be like her senpai and does her best! Good fighting and has some funny moments here and there

However theyre only fun when you can tell what the hell is going on, which is about 50/50It's difficult to explain, but the art isnt the problem necessarily, it's the comprehension. It's hard to get a feel for what everyone looks like, especially when they dont have traditional monster designs and when we get zero establishing or wide shots to show everyone independantly before the action starts. And it gets VERY confusing.There's a lot of potential here and i can chalk that up to it being the first volume, hell it was getting better as it was going, but if the next one is the same then i'm not getting 3

This was a beautiful book and story, So worth the price! Very inspirational

A must read for the WWII reader. No maps or photos to make it more real. Hard to put down.

Forests have been felled with books written about the much beloved Brooklyn Dodgers. Roger Kahn, Carl Erskine, Red Barber, and numerous others have relished telling us what life was like with Brooklyn baseball, especially from the years 1947 through 1957. In addition, numerous authors have written about Jackie Robinson. However, author Dennis D'Agostino and Bonnie Crosby, daughter of Barney Stein, who was the official photographer of the Brooklyn Dodgers have put together several of Barney's photographs of his years in covering the Dodgers from 1937 through their last season of 1957 in Brooklyn. These are photos not seen before in other books, and numerous details are provided that the reader may otherwise overlook in the picture. I'm fortunate to have the book entitled "The Rhubarb Patch" published in 1954 with Barney Stein's photos and text by Red Barber, and this new effort is a treasure trove of photos from this historical era. One photo that has been often seen is of Jackie Robinson stealing home in the 1955 World Series on pages 90 and 91. The view we are given shows the entire dugout and many of the fans in the stands, several dressed in neckties and fedoras. The on-deck batter for the Dodgers, Frank Kellert, appears to have the best view of whether Robinson was safe or out. When asked for his opinion on the play Kellert drew the rath of Robinson by answering, "I thought he was out." Not mentioned in the caption, but seated in the front row of the stands is "The Big O", Dodgers' owner Walter O'Malley, nattily attired in suit and tie. I'm thankful I can remember the Dodgers of the 1950's, but whether you are old enough to do so or not, if you enjoy baseball history, I would highly recommend, yes, one more book on the Brooklyn Dodgers.

I thought I had seen just about every shot of the "Boys of Summer" but boy was I wrong. The book had some fabulous and nostalgic photos of my childhood heroes. Well written and enjoyable reading added to the wonderful photos. A must for every Brooklyn Dodger fan

I bought this book for my husband for Christmas. He loves anything connected with the Brooklyn Dodgers. The book is very nice and the pictures inside are large so you can see the details. I would recommend this book to anyone who is a Dodger fan.

This book is really well written and easy to understand. Every bank has a slightly different way of doing things, and this book acknowledges regional idiosyncrasies while giving reasoning for suggested courses of actions while also giving a good foundation. I think this book best suits newer lenders, but if you go into this book completely clueless it will be a bit difficult. I had a few senior lending officers I could ask questions of, which did help.

A practical, no nonsense guide for commercial bankers. Great tips on sourcing & maintaining profitable client relationships, pricing & showcasing bank products as well as managing risk. Would recommend this book for new bankers as well as seasoned financial professionals. Also a great read for CFOs looking to better understand the lending business.

As a lender I found this book to be well worth reading. The rate swap section is over my head. I have a lot to learn! The book should be read by everyone in commercial lending.

After ranting on my blog that I couldn't find a book, today I picked up one that satisfied my story-tooth. The Pull of the Moon by Elizabeth Berg is a brilliantly conceived, beautifully written story about a woman's journey, from what happens to us at 12 to the transformation that comes with our 50s. Nan is none of us, yet my guess is that each of us will find something to identify with as she goes walkabout from her marriage. She doesn't leave her husband as much as she goes looking for her lost self.Talking about being part of the "bridge" generation, she says, "We flowered in the sixties, but the spirit of the fifties was deep in us." That identity split may make this a book that works more for those of us over 50 than younger women. As Nan travels about, she connects with strangers who help her find pieces of herself that got lost along the way.One of the heart-breaking stories she hears comes from an 86-year-old farm woman who shows her poems her husband wrote to her. After he died, she found them buried in a drawer, apparently not thinking they were actually good enough to give to her.I take back my rant ... apparently I haven't been looking in the right places.And for the one-star reviewers, I understand your criticisms. Few of us have the resources (and the patient husbands) that would make this journey possible. But, as someone who lost her husband at the beginning of her 60s, I recognize so many of the feelings of losing pieces of myself without even realizing it. I remember a day after he died when I realized that I truly didn't know what I wanted to eat. After 40 years of marriage, my first thought was always, "What would he want?" It has taken 10 years, but I'm starting to recognize my own tastes and needs.

Men, you have complained and whined about not understanding the mind of a woman. Young women, you don't know what is going on with your mother. Now you will. A woman decides to just up and go on a road trip to nowhere and finds herself and is the better for it, and so is her husband. She writes him every day about what's inside her. She journals every day. When she finds the peace that has always eluded her, she is able to go home. But there is so very much more to this story. You will be thankful to have read it.

Elizabeth Berg's book was an enjoyable, easy read that gave a wonderful insight into the beautiful sentiments and insightful thinking that goes on in the mind of (some?) women. Not to say that all women think as the main character Nan does, but certainly it offered one vantage point.Berg is a very gifted writer. She must be an artist, for she writes with a visual awareness seen usually only by advanced artists and photographers. But Berg goes beyond the artists by articulating so beautifully what she sees.I'm glad I discovered this book. It's given me a great respect and a deeper wonder for the exquisite,rich, delightful, delicate, emotional, feminine, strong, complicated, determined, and unique way of thinking that is wonderfully and distinctly different from my own as a man. Highly recommended for any man who seeks to better understand treasure his bride.

Elizabeth Berg writes so deeply about being a woman, a woman's experience, the uniqueness of living in our skin, and also about aging, I just don't know how to praise her enough. Pull of the Moon is as deep as Gilead by Marilynne Robinson (although a lot faster-paced, thank God, and wine-out-your-nose funny in places, too. I read a lot of the good stuff out loud to my husband, but when the main character in Moon describes a man's equipment (sanitized for Amazon) as "looking like a grub worm," well, that one I couldn't share.)A little backstory of my own. I loved her style, but when I got to Author TruLuv, I was pretty disappointed. And then when I downloaded a sample of her latest, Night of Miracles, I was hoping she went back to the more profound writing I loved. Doesn't look like it. I didn't buy the full book.But I went looking for some of her older ones, and bought Pull of the Moon (2010) and oh, what talent. I don't know if she, in recent years, decided to go a little easier on herself or what, but her earlier books (We Are All Welcome Here, Never Change, Talk Before Sleep, and The Year of Pleasures) are just exquisite.

This novel is not a stereotypical look of a woman in menopause. Nan comes to the decision that in order to stay married she needs to take an unplanned and unmapped trip. All the while she writes letters to her husband to stay in touch. What a delicious idea. I am going to guess that her quest for some kind of knowledge about herself is a dream of many a woman, menopausal or not. I found the book extremely enjoyable and the tone was on right on target. I ended up writing down 13 quotes that had an impact on me to keep for prosperity and for further ponder.If I included all the quotes, I would get in trouble for fair use, you will just have to buy the book! I will share one that was particularly insightful. Nan asks herself, “where have you been?” And then, “I meant to come back.” Powerful, right? Wives and mothers give it all to their families over many, many years. They essentially put their life on a shelf, willingly, in order to give what is needed to their family. When the kids grow up and the family’s needs are gone, she needs to find a way back to herself. It’s simply common sense. You can not ignore something for years and years and then expect to simply pick it up again.For many women, the realization that she has to get to know herself again is a bit of a surprise. In The Pull of the Moon, we see through Nan the way ONE woman decided to come back to herself. It might not be your way or my way but it is a way. The book serves as an example or maybe even an encouragement to women that they are worth the time and the work to figure out what will make them happy later in life.
