I carry this in my car to read during short waits for appointments. It is always interesting to learn of new characters from American History or new facts about known ones. Happily the 100 selected include a number of civil rights leaders and martyrs such as Reuben Salazar.I am confused about the definition of a Hispanic-American. Apparently that includes people born in Portugal and becoming famous in Brazil (Carmen Miranda). Also people like me who had a Spanish (Catalonian) surname from happening to be the child of a father who had a father who had a father from Spain.
