Well organized, very easy to read, and a great reference. I learned a lot about the effects of stress, hormones, and relationships on the heart, as well as some interesting new information about diet and supplements. Really gave me a lot to think about. I also liked the fact that the book included sections specifically for men and women. Highly recommend!

This book has the answers to everything I need and want to know about the heart. This is my personal doctor and I am so impressed by her and her book. Thank you to Dr. Samaan for writing this. I would recommend this for any age.

I cannot state enough about the importance of everyone to get ahold of this book and read it cover to cover. I picked this up in my local library when searching for heart care. I wish I could have been told to read this ten plus years ago (although it wasn't published but 3 years ago).My docs and three cardiologists (due to moves and changes in insurance) did not make it clear to me, like she does in no uncertain terms, the importance of a healthy diet, taking your meds regularly w/t fail, the correct way to take your BP at home, the importance of regular exercise , the plus/minuses of vitamins, supplements, etc. She gives the facts and the in-your-face statistics of why, and they are compelling.If you are over 50, please read this and DO what she recommends!

This is the first book I’ve read that approaches the details of accounting strategically, as opposed to technically. I think Ryan’s practical approach aligns accounting methods and the structure of financial statements with Lean thinking. Most importantly, the approach supports effective corporate and managerial decision-making. Intuitively, we may know that our income statements and balance sheets aren’t giving us the whole story or that the hierarchical structure of our departments and divisions no longer seems to fit like it once did, yet we continue with the status quo. Ryan bids us to evaluate and re-align our organizations and accounting methods with our missions, visions, and markets, but not to arbitrarily “shake things up” as some do. Rather, Ryan’s offers an eminently intentional and strategic paradigm that may positively change the course of your organization and chart a successful future. While there are some elements of the book that an accounting or finance professional will likely find rudimentary, the book is threaded with crucial underlying principles that even some Fortune 500 companies have implemented only in recent years. This book brings the heat! Kylan is a royal vampire. He is strong, cunning and a “take what he wants, when he wants it” kind of man. When he sees Raelyn (aka Rae) and experiences her strong-willed nature he automatically knows, he wants her. Rae has done everything in her human power to stay a live in this world run by paranormal beings. She, as a human, is the oppressed species, only used for pain and pleasure of all the other beings. She is a slave specifically bred and trained to be the best servant to those around her. She makes a huge mistake, that actually might save her life, by biting the royal vampire, Kylan.I have said it before and I will say it again. Lexi does a marvelous job of creating detailed paranormal characters and worlds that are absolutely captivating. She always seems to hook me from the very beginning and takes me for a wild and fun ride. This book is no exception. The first few pages hooked me and set the dark and enticing tone. Just wait until you read the “selection” scene…oh man. SO GOOD! I HAD to know what was going to happen next.I am not going to give you too many details but I will say…this book will take you for a ride! There are some extremely steamy scenes and heart wrenching twists that will keep you on the edge of your seat! If you like dark romances, vampires, werewolves, and magic…check this one out!

I've never been one who gives away a lot of details in my reviews ,but I will tell you this...you will go one hell of a roller coaster ride... you will go on steamy, hot, and heavy moments with a few gut/heart wrenching twist that will not only leave you begging for more ...they will leave you on the edge of your seat screaming...vampires... werewolves...and magic oh my!Kylan is a royal vampire who gets what he wants when he wants it, no questions asked. When he sees Rae and her strong will he knows he wants her. Rae is human. Her only use in this world is slave for the supernaturals. She was made to be the best servant she can be. and is doing all she can to stay alive in a world full of supernaturals.Will Kylan be the one to save her life.If you like dark steamy romance, then this just may be the book for you!

Once again Lexi C. Foss gives us another fantastic book written with wonderfully complex characters that you can’t help but fall in love with.Royally Bitten welcomes us back into the Blood Alliance series to meet the royal Kylan and his consort Rae. Everyone believes Kylan to be possibly mad/crazy but things are not always what they seem. Rae has done everything she can to be ready for Blood Day selection, but when she unwittingly catches Kylan’s notice her worst fears seem to be her fate (or do they?). Darius and Juliet from Chastely Bitten make an appearance as well in this fantastic book. I loved watching Kylan and Rae challenge each other and themselves as we watch their love story unfold.Lexi C. Foss just keeps getting better and better with every book I read. I can’t wait for book 3 when we get to play with the Lycans next!!

OMG, this book blew me away. It was THAT good. There were times I wanted to slap Kylan upside the head. He made me so mad. Rae was such a worthy female. So strong and intelligent. You just wanted things to turn out right for her. I don't want to spoil this book for anyone. I can't wait for the next installment in this series. Suddenly, Summer 2019 seems so far away! Wow. Just wow.I was completely blown away by this book.The chemistry between Kylan and Rae was off the charts hot.The story is fast paced, full of action and steam.Lexi leads us further into the Blood Alliance world and leaves us craving more. More of the world and more of the fantastic characters that live there.I, for one, cannot wait for the next book.

This is not a continuous story told throughout the book. It is a compilation of different stories and works of writing. I traditionally don't care for these types of books, but this one is pretty good. I like the way the chapters are organized and the book flows well. I'm learning quite a bit about things I never thought about; having to do with Russia and why the people are the way they are as far as culture and traditions. I read a couple chapters a day and enjoy the fact I can put it down and pick up and not have to remember where I was previously.

This is a fascinating book with excellent sources. If you are interested in Russian history I highly recommend this book.

i can't believe it's taken this long for somebody to put out something like this. as someone who has been involved with the IB for over 20 years, this is exactly the kind of resource that has been missing for clueless students all over the world. each chapter is helpful, and the advice is more or less fool-proof. I really think every single IB student should read this book three times. Once before the IB, once during summer of 1st year, and then a final read right before exams.my only two complaints are i) i think the one chapter on CAS is either outdated or specific to some schools and ii) the book may be seen as 'overpriced' by some (although you pay 80+ usd for an IB bio textbook and this is wayyy more beneficial to your overall score).

Bought this after seeing IB kids talking about it on Instagram. It’s actually a really great help-book to anyone struggling in the program. The authors original chapters are great, and the submitted chapters vary in helpfulness but overall there is a bunch of tips that I never would have thought of.If you are already predicted 42+ points, chances are you know what you are doing, and reading this book, although quick, will do little to improve your score. However, if you are struggling to get a pass mark, or are an average student, the advice will definitely get you 6 or more extra points, whether the bonus ones, or in individual subjects (especially core ones).I strongly believe the IB is a superior curriculum to other alternatives, and will be the benchmark in the near future. However, not all schools have amazing teachers who specifically know the ins and outs of the program and how to succeed in it. This book solves these problems!Only complaint is that delivery took longer than promised, hopefully Amazon stocks a few copies when it sees demand growing. Also, a cheaper electronic version would be a great addition.

As an IB teacher, it is great to have this sort of concise and accurate handbook (without all of the unnecessary obfuscating IB language) to guide students with very practical advice. This guidebook removes much of the intimidation inherent in the IB programme and gives students increased confidence by getting right to the main points and by speaking to students in their own language.

Great book for any and all IB students! Lots of insight and many tips that are invaluable.

I heard this guy is controversial so I hesitated, but I got this for my niece and she loved it. Who knows if she actually read it, but she still got high scores.

This book offered a great deal of insight and really helped me with my IB program. If only I'd heard about it earlier!
